When I first transferred my credits to WSU, they accepted credit for my math course but for whatever reason it did not translate to a math course at Wayne State. Well, they re-evaluated my MAT transfer and finally translated it. I didn't actually realize that they had done this until now, because I was getting ready to print out my transfer transcript so that I could take it to admissions or whoever handles that stuff to dispute it, but its already been changed. THIS means that I won't have to take Precalculus again! YES!!!
Im having such a fucking celebration tonight. OMG.
Take THAT math! Fuck youuuuuuuuuuu.

the apartment manager just knocked on my door because i had asked him a question earlier about getting my student discount in advance since they won't give me my enrollment verification paperwork right away at school. i was on the floor doing some homework because i don't have a table and when i stood up to answer the door i started blacking out and i nearly passed out right in front of the manager. i had to grab hold of the side of the door. haha. its way too hot up in here. fuck. he's probably wondering what the fuck my problem is.
i went to my first class today. chemistry. seems like its going to be awfully easy. already took the quiz and got a 100 and im checking my homework answers now and they are all correct. the teacher seems to teach at a pretty slow but steady pace, too. i honestly don't see how i could possibly make below an A+ in that course, so thats cool... i go to my economics class and biology class tomorrow.
i have to work until 11pm tonight. lame.

Gustav is the German form of a Latin name, Gustavus, possibly coming (according to the The Oxford Dictionary of English Christian Names) from an older German name, Chustaffus, meaning “Meditation, Staff” from “chuton” (to meditate) and “staf” (staff). Other sources say it means “Guatr’s Staff.” Guatr was the name of an old Germanic tribe.
Im truly standing at the tip top peak of shit mountain now, folks.
i never thought i'd make it here.

well, because of the way the va has their benefits set up and the way my school schedules their classes, there will be a 4 month period from july-august when i will not recieve my monthly educational assistance check from the va. according to my paperwork, im supposed to be getting the money for a full 10 months which decreased the amount of student loans that i can get and ultimately fucked me because it looks like ill only get them for 8 months....
so, ill be in japan for a month during next summer and during those other three months i have to find a place for me, my belongings, *and* my cat that will either not charge me anything or charge me very little for rent. i may have to give my cat away. if i could just find a place to store my stuff i could store it temporarily but then id have to unstore it when school starts and find a place in a short period of time that is willing to rent to a person whos only income is student loans and va benefits. student housing on campus is *not* an option. it is far too expensive. also, there is no way in hell im cancelling my plans to go to osaka just to barely be able to afford rent for 4 months and have no money to eat or do anything else whatsoever. moving is not an option. im pretty set on going to this school. i found a few places with rooms for rent at 200 a month but im not getting any responses.
i really don't want to give away my cat, because honestly i dont think that anyone will love her and spoil her as much as i do and i would miss her terribly, but it seems like my only option. ill cross the barrier when the time comes, i guess, but its definitely not going to be easy.
what the hell do you do in this situation? where to college students go during the summer when the dormitory kicks them out and their parents are like.. overseas or something? what do they do with their belongings?
i hate having stuff. i am pretty sure that having stuff and things is like the key to a miserable fucking life or something. it makes things way too difficult. im bringing a backpack and nothing else to japan...
also, it is important to note that there is no way in hell that i am relying on finding a summer job in detroit. thats like.. a joke or something. impossible. can't even get hired at mcdonalds... and i seriously doubt that my current employer is going to keep me when i start school and cut down to two days a week.
i finalized my school schedule. here are my fall classes. not changing them again:
General Chemistry
Voice Class
Choral Union
Social Psychologoy
and
Developmental Psychology
winter semester, if it will let me register as a non music major to take the class, im going to take piano instead of voice and probably just swap them out every other semester. i also get to take metaphysics winter semester. fun!

I am going to Japan for a minimum of one month next Summer. I found a guesthouse that is roughly 300 per month in the Asakusa area of tokyo and round trip tickets for 850ish. I am getting my passport next week.
